Generations of blueberry lovers have appreciated the quality and taste of wild blueberries from the fields at Peace and Plenty Farm, in the High Peaks region of western Maine. Over nine varieties of low-bush blueberries grow naturally and abundantly in our fields, but the predominant variety is “Canadian Sourtop”, valued by chefs and foodies for its bright, stay-in-your-mouth flavor and well known health benefits.
In 2001 our fields were certified organic by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.
The berries are winnowed clean right at the field, then bagged and frozen within hours of being picked.
We sell our wild, organic blueberries in 5 lb bags at $35 a bag.
We can deliver to most areas in and around Portland, ME. If you are local to the Phillips, ME area you are welcome to come visit us during the harvest which is the week before labor day every year.
Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back!
The owners of the fields are Lloyd and Hope Griscom previously of Madrid, Maine. The fields are now managed by their former WWOOF volunteers, and long time friends, DJ and Kathy Hewey of Hiram, Maine.
